August: Actors Month in Honolulu

When the mayor of Honolulu (Rick Blangiardi) declares August is actors month, what do the actors do?

They celebrate at the Honolulu Hale (official site of the mayor’s office and the city council) in downtown Honolulu.

Many local stage and screen actors were in attendance yesterday including Ian, who is Hawaii’s SagAftra Representative.

He spoke to encourage the Hawaii legislature to provide more incentives so more local productions can be made in Hawaii, providing opportunities and employment for that actors and crews who make Hawaii their home.
