‘Los Vampires’ starring Henry Ian Cusick as Luis De Ossario, and Thomas Krestchmann as Orlov, will have it’s much anticipated U.S. film premiere at the Honolulu International Film Festival this fall.

 

Written and directed by Craig Mitchell and produced by Ty Donaldson, the film also features Daniela Couso,  Oscar Nunez, Jefferson Mays, and Jorge Diaz.

“Fictionalizing the making of George Melford’s 1931 Spanish-language DRACULA, the film follows a Spanish actor shooting at night on the same sets used by the English-language production during the day. As rivalry grows between the two productions’ leading men, a string of real-life murders begins unfolding around the soundstage. The film stars Peru-born and Oahu based actor Henry Ian Cusick (LOST).”

“HIFF will additionally continue its partnership with the Vilcek Foundation through the New American Perspectives program, which celebrates immigrant and foreign born artists working in contemporary American cinema. Among this year’s selections are “Los Vampires”,  featuring Peru born and O‘ahu based actor Henry Ian Cusick.”

“Los Vampires” fictionalizes the production of George Melford’s 1931 Spanish language “Dracula”, following a Spanish actor working on the night shoot while mysterious murders begin occurring around the soundstage.”
