With Comic Con in San Diego cancelled this year due to Covid- 19, the convention will host movie and TV panels online for the fans.

Entertainment Weekly’s Fandom Week will be during this time too. They announced their panels will be starting on July 20 and running for a week.

Ian has been announced for their Brave Warriors panel:

“EW’s beloved Brave Warriors panel will make a virtual return as part of Comic-Con@ Home. Actors Joseph Morgan (Brave New World), Aasif Mandvi (Evil), Henry Ian Cusick (MacGyver), Jocko Sims (New Amsterdam),  and Michael Mando (Better Call Saul) will all discuss the thrill of playing iconic male heroes on television. Hosted by EW Editor-at-Large Lynette Rice, the panel will cover the highs, lows, and in-betweens of their careers in Hollywood, including the sometimes awkward encounters they have had with fans.”

When Ian is home on hiatus from work, he drums for a local band on Oahu, Chan Chan Yaki.

It’s yet another one of Ian’s many talents!

Recently on June 18th, the band held a fundraiser concert to help raise money for the local Windward chapter of Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii.

HIC fans enjoyed really for the first time, Ian performing several songs and needless to say it was a true treat!

Following the concert Ian and Tom Carroll give some background information on the club along with a tour of the clubhouse.

Both the concert and tour can be viewed below:

Chan Chan Yaki:

As most HIC fans know, Ian co-starred in Fox’s The Passage in 2019.

The TV series based on Justin Cronin’s trilogy book series, unfortunately only saw one season.

To the cast, crew and fans’ disappointment, Fox chose not to renew it for a second season.

In July of 2018, the cast appeared at San Diego Comic Con preceding the show’s debut, to promote the show and meet fans who attended the convention.

Many photos from that event are in CusickGallery’s SDCC 2018 The Passage album in the gallery section of their site.

These are the newest photos to surface from that event and featured recently on CusickGallery……..beautiful individual photos of Ian photographed by Maarten de Boer along with two cast photos.

We are pleased to share them here too! Thank you Maarten!

Today, May 23, 2020 marks 10 years ABC’s LOST aired it’s final episode, titled simply The End.

Fans around the world are remembering this ground breaking TV series on social media with comments, video clips, photos and memories of the show which for many, remains their number one series of all time.

Henry Ian Cusick portrayed one of the most beloved characters on the show, the scotsman Desmond Hume. It was the role that brought Ian to the states and in many ways kick started his career in America. Still today, he remains best known for Desmond. It’s a role and character he is very proud of.

Ian expressed his thoughts in a tweet to all Lost fans:

“10 years ago #LOST ended – it changed my life completely and introduced me to a beautiful island I’m proud to call home. I will forever be grateful to #damonlindelof@CarltonCuse@jackbenderart and all the cast and crew for such an incredible ride. Aloha Ix “

If you were a LOST fan when the show aired or you’ve become one in the years following of it’s finale, there’s no better way to pay homage to it, than perhaps watching The End again….tonight…..just as so many fans did 10 years ago! Let’s go back shall we?

If you have the DVD set, replay it…..LOST is also available for viewing on HULU. Check your favorite streaming sources for more possible places.

MacGyver on CBS

CBS released the news today MacGyver cast members, crew and fans have been waiting for!

Team Mac will be coming back for a 5th season! MacGyver received it’s official renewal notice!

MacGyver cast – Meredith Eaton, Justin Hires, Tristin Mays, Lucas Till, Henry Ian Cusick, Levy Tran

While the current Covid-19 pandemic shut down the remainder of season 4 filming back in early March, we do know there were additional episodes filmed beyond the season 4 finale to air this Friday on May 8.

We can assume the remainder of those episodes will begin the 5th season when it returns. No dates yet for that or for when the show will begin production again. Once it’s safe to do so we assume…. and once we have that information, we’ll share it here!

In the meantime, enjoy the season 4 finale this Friday and then get ready for season 5! Bring on more paper clips and duct tape, Mac!

From TV SeriesHub.com:

MacGyver Renewed For Season Five

CBS announced today that MacGyver is getting a fifth season. It’s the renewal notice that fans have been waiting for. After getting less than anticipated out of the fourth season due to worldly events, it is a welcomed announcement. Although we don’t know when the season will be airing, there is no doubt that the writers will have another tantalizing tale for fans. With the uncertainties that are facing our current world, it’s good to have something like television to fall back on. It helps us escape “reality” for awhile.

MacGyver and the rest of the Phoenix Foundation have evolved immensely from past seasons. This is no longer just a “fun-loving” show. There is undeniable darkness and depth to the characters and their intricate stories. Instead of being pictures of “perfection”, we are able to see the real grit of what makes these characters tick. I am hoping they will continue to explore these avenues in the season to come.

The series has garnered quite a following since the reboot went live in 2016. The popularity of the original series seems to have carried on to this one. With a wide fan base, this cements the longevity of the show.  Peter Lenkov seems to have the golden touch when it comes to rebooting series and may that trend continue.

What are your thoughts on the show and the possibilities that may present themselves? Will we get answers? Or, will the writers, as they so often do, take us by surprise yet again.”

CBS Renews 23 Series For The 2020-2021 Broadcast Season

This week’s episode will bring MacGyver’s 4th season to a close but before the season ends……. this finale episode promises to be full of everything you’ve come to expect from our team at Phoenix!

With last week’s episode, we saw Mac and Riley seemingly switch sides and join up with Codex. Was it all to infiltrate and gain excess so they might be able to take down the organization? We should get that answer and more in this 13th and finale episode. There are questions about Russ, his motives and intentions, including his reason behind buying Phoenix. Hopefully our questions will be answered by time the episode and season concludes this Friday night! Don’t miss it 8/7c on CBS….

There’s a fired up sneak peek video below in TVLine’s article on the finale…….one that is almost difficult to watch as Russ and Mac seem to square off on opposite sides.

Article and video here: ‘MacGyver Season Finale Sneak Peek: Mac Drops a Bombshell About (Spoiler)’

In addition, we have caps from Friday night’s episode below with Henry Ian Cusick (Russ Taylor), Lucas Till (Angus MacGyver) and Levy Tran (Desi Nguyen).

What a fabulous first season for Ian as the newest member of MacGyver cast. Russ has been such a great addition, welcomed by MacGyver fans and TV critics alike. We can’t wait to see what the future beyond the finale holds for him and the entire team! Be sure to tune in and watch the exciting season conclusion on Friday, May 8!
