What an emotional ride The Other Side was!
Congratulations to Director Cusick, his writers Julie and Shawna Benson…. and all the cast and crew who made this episode of The 100 an awesome one!
One that left us crying both with tears of joy and sadness. Watching everyone dealing with the aftermath of the conclave and more importantly, the decisions made in spite of and in response to it, made for very emotional moments that contained suspenseful moments too!
In this post, we’ve collected press reviews/recaps about Ian’s first directorial episode and BTS photos from the set.
We hope you were able to watch it but if you haven’t seen it yet, The Other Side is available for online viewing now at The CW website: http://www.cwtv.com/shows/the-100

The 100 Review: The Other Side (Season 4 Episode 11)
“Written by Shawna and Julie Benson and directed by Henry Ian Cusick The 100 Season 4 Episode 11 “The Other Side” is filled with moving character moments from top to bottom as our characters make crucial choices when faced with the ever nearing apocalypse.”

“The 100 season 4, episode 11 review: Earth Day”
“The episode also marked the directing debut of Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Kane. Not only was it a rousing success as far as directing debuts go, but I found it a particular stroke of brilliance to have this very character-heavy episode directed by someone going from acting to directing: Cusick is an actor’s director by virtue of being an actor himself, and was thus able to bring out the emotional truths of the incredibly intense, heart-wrenching scenes in Arkadia and on Science Island.”

TV Guide: Returning Winter Shows: Where We Left Off
Season 4 of The 100 is just around the corner! Let’s look back at season 3 and ahead to the new season, compliments of TVGuide.com…….
1 of 40 The 100 (The CW)
Premieres: Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 9/8c
Where We Left Off: Clarke (Eliza Taylor) took the Flame and went to the City of Light to find A.L.I.E.’s (Erica Cerra) kill switch. A.L.I.E. tried to dissuade Clarke by revealing that radiation from nuclear plants is making Earth uninhabitable, but Clarke pulled the switch anyway. Bellamy (Bob Morley) admitted he had gone to the wrong side and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) killed Pike (Michael Beach).
What’s Next: Unable to stop the nuclear meltdown, the only thing the people on Earth can do is figure out how to survive. Unfortunately, it soon becomes clear that there’s no way to save everyone. This dire situation will throw everything into chaos, with old alliances breaking down and new ones being made. “Back in the old days, you could tell your enemy or you could tell your friend by the uniform that they were wearing or the clan or tribe that they were wearing, but you can’t do that anymore,” Adina Porter says. “When land is scarce, war happens.”
Despite all this, love is in the air between Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and Abby (Paige Turco), Murphy (Richard Harmon) and Emori (Luisa D’Oliveira), and Monty (Christopher Larkin) and Harper (Chelsey Reist). And once again, Clarke will have Bellamy by her side as she’s forced to face another round of impossible choices. However, Octavia will go to her darkest place yet, devoting herself fully to the life of an assassin, much to Indra’s (Porter) glee.
And though the City of Light is officially gone, the Flame — and the minds of all the commanders inside it — still exists. However, there are no more Nightbloods, a fact that is crucial to a new character this season, a female Nightblood scout, who finds herself questioning her religion following the events of Season 3. Roan (Zach McGowan) will return as a season regular as he sets out — with the help of Echo (Tasya Teles) — to lead not just the Ice Nation, but every survivor. Luna (Nadia Hiker) and Niylah (Jessica Harmon) will also return.

Marcus and Abby are TellTaleTV’s Favorite #1 Couple of 2016
Thank you TellTale TV!
20 Favorite TV Couples from 2016
1. Marcus Kane and Abby Griffin (The 100)
These two are easily my personal favorite couple of the past year. Arguably one of the best slow burn romances in all of television, this relationship is entirely earned.
The pair started out as staunch antagonists with an abundance of chemistry, but their relationship has evolved into one filled with love and trust and above all, hope. In a show where people rarely ever get to be happy for long, it’s been refreshing to see Kane and Abby create something precious and beautiful to hang on to.
